I have an n-force2 400 FSB motherboard by biostar with a amd barton 2500 xp. with DDRAM 512MB|64X64 PC-3200B CRUCIAL memory. Now can I just turn my FSB up to 400 safely and run my chip a lot faster like I have been reading about? And how do I get into bios because I press f1 as fast as I can when the system reboots but it goes to windows anyway. Thanks for the help

Motherboard, Memory, & CPU -Overclocking Guide

Search on overclocking.
CPU/Processors and Overclocking

Yes, you should be able to reach a fsb of 200, you may not be able to run your processor at 2.2g though. It will depend on your cooling and the specific processor you have.

Try listing more specific information when you post. What exact motherboard do you have? It will save a lot of time of people guessing on how to fix your problem.

Well I got into bios with the delete key(thanks a lot guys) and set it up to 200. So far its saying its running at 2.2 and that its fine - though all sorts of flame and smoke are coming from the case but I guess thats what the special effects guys at AMD intended. Anyway thanks for the help

Yep, fire makes it good.

Now you can put hotdogs inside the case and cook 'em up while you're working. Multitasking at its finest.

Be careful, once the smoke leaves you can't get it back in and then your processor is dead.
