I live near Dallas, and the drive would be worth it.....

Edit: The Fort Worth Alliance airshow is on the same date, and my heart's set on that :D

^I've been to that a few time when I lived in Hurst. Always a good time, just wear plenty of sunblock.

I like company open houses but I always wonder if employees in rival companies can attend.

I went in 2010, but missed it last year. Luckily I'm off from work the day of the airshow, Oct 6. I'm pretty stoked.

Is there a program somewhere? Trying to figure out when to head down from Dallas.

Edit : /facepalm. I should have RTFM (or rather RTFe-mail :S )

Had a blast and it was well worth the drive down from Dallas! :)
Got to play the new Rise of the Triad, poke a developer of Hitman : Absolution, talk to folks from id and got a TON of swag! (2x A8-5600K, 2x Gigabyte F2A85X-UP4 mobos, some Kingston RAM and 8-core FX).

Fess up - who's the lucky SOB who got the Sapphire 7950 Vapor-X and/or the Gigabyte 990 FXA-UD7 and/or the mini-PC from Sapphire?! :sneaky:

Damn! So what is mostly for developers and programmers or was it truly an everyone and everybody interesting kind of affair. That's some hardcore swag just to be given away.

It was for a general audience. When the AMD guy announced at the beginning that all 500 registrants would be taking home an A8-5600K, I wuz liek
The rest of the stuff (mobos, graphics cards, SSDs, FX 8M/4C Steamrollers, etc.) were all raffled.

Damn! Despite the cold weather and icy wind, the air show was worth it, especially since my girlfriend went with me, but if AMD has another open house, I'm doing it!

Did you win the FX at that Raiderz speech, or were you the guy in the green shirt that won the Street Fighter contest?

Neither. Got mine at the raffle near the end of the event. Was it an ATer who asked that transparency and deferred rendering question in the Hitman Absolution talk?
