I Went to order my system today, the processor being the AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor 4000+, and Zip Zoom Fly just today sold out. Being that the product was discontinued, and it is the only X2 Dual core with a 2Gig L2 Cache, it is like $400 in most other places. Does anyone know of any other place that has this processor for a decent price? (and is a good seller)....

Thanks

Napes, the 4400 is a better deal. It's available for slightly over $200, has 2x1 MB L2 cache, and is 2.2 Ghz X2.

edit: And it's only ~$10 more than the places you've listed that are selling the X2 4000's.

No, he's looking for 2x1 MB, which is why I suggested he pay $10 more, and get himself an X2 4400.

Just for clarification, I am looking for a Socket AM2 chip. I beleive AM2s now only have the 512MBx2 Cache.

On both of those sites its writting in small lettering under the buy button that they are sold out. So looks like I'll be going with a faster chip with a 512x2 cache....oh well.

How does the 4200 run? It's cheaper than the 4000+...or should I just got for the 4400
