Some people just have no clue what OEM means. www.dict.org may be able to help with that... In the meantime, grab up this rather hot price tag before the naysayers realize their error and cry at the Out of Stock messages =)

cooliodealio, OEM is definately not what you described. These are just cpus with the cost cut because they never came with any retail packaging, so therefore they're OEM. Anyone planning to overclock(I'll take a guesstimate and say the majority of us here) would be wasting money on a retail cpu because that extra money could have gone to a better cooling solution.

I picked up an Athlon 64 3500+ CPU, retail, on e-bay. Brand new, still in the box, with heatsink and fan for $175. I would rather go with the retail version than the OEM version. Plus you get a 3 year warranty. I agree though, if you plan to overclock, the 3 year warranty is not significant.

Pay no mind to him. Time and time again, he poops up to tc his uneducated opinions.

Definitely a warm deal. Just remember if you're buying anything from ewiz, go through via froogle to get some bucks off.

I'm beginning to look forward to your posts...

Either you're a troll or one of the most ignorant about computer matters on this forum.
You've come up with some real winners!

Think I'm going to change my signature to quote you and spread the laughter.

So you think that manufacturer's and systems integrators buy retail chips and unwrap each one individually... hmm...

cooliodealio is actually a multi-banned troll here. Do his posts look familar? Remember "thenotebook"?

Previously banned thread crapper aka thenotebook, columbiaflier, thelastduel and more.

I told you cooliodealio that I would figure out who you were. ;)

I got my Ewiz 3200+ E6 chip in last night. It's currently running 2.6 ghz on MSI Neo 2 mobo. I'm running a retail XP-90 HSF @ 1.58 volts on CPU core. Pretty decent OC on a Venice core. Mine was week 35 chip.

I have a 3200+ E3 chip on the way from Ewiz, came out to like ~140 shipped with rush fee.

If you go to Pricewatch or pricegrabber, they offer free ground shipping but the SKU price is a few $ higher than the base one linked here. For me it was the same price to go thru pricewatch, get free ground, and rush order (ship same day). Otherwise I'd have paid the same/more $$$ for it to ship later with the same ground shipping.

For those interested in the E3 stepping, check out this linkage:

$128

BTW, ordered mine last week and got it yesterday. So far I've been pleased with eWiz.

they pay a little chinese kid to do it. He is fast. He doesn't even use scissors, he uses his teeth to rip open the packaging!

I also jumped on the ewiz E6 3200+ I'm still tweeking, have been now for a week. Max stable speed(as in 10 hours P95 both Max heat and Blend) is 2740. I'm using the Hyperx $89 ram deal also, so it looks like with the divider I'm ending up with about 2727 and 212(DDR425) on the RAM as it won't do 218 with the fast timings the next divider requires. The Hyperx I think is CH-5 winbond and doesn't seem to OC so great. But it does run nice at 2-2-2-8. Once I'm stable I'll start benching for the sweet spot, but it sounds like these OEMs are typical of Venice OCs, I was wishing for 2800, but that seems to be a rare OC for these...

I'd love for peeps to post their OCing experiences with these chips for our own info. I'll post my stepping info if I can find it. I always write it down and lose it... "dumbass"
