I found a good price on the AMD Athlon 64 3500+ cpu on Tigerdirect.com. Does anyone know if this is the Winchester core by reading the specs? Thanks in advance.

Nope, this ones a Newcastle. In the detail specs it says 130nm. You are looking for the 90nm chips.

Nope, this ones a Newcastle. In the detail specs it says 130nm. You are looking for the 90nm chips.

So confusing it DOES say 13 micron process, BUT the serial # has "BI" and that means WINCHESTER CORE! I dislike TIGER!

You're right! They are giving conflicting information. It might be a Winchester....but it might not.

i remember even Newegg was at $295, and I think mwave was $270 or so.

Tigerdirect is a bad place to buy from anyways, I've heard so many bad stories about people buying from them.
