AMD Athlon 1900+ Prices to drop on March. 15, 2002. Any truth to this?

Hey all?

Just been told by a comp supplier that the AMD Athlon 1900+ prices are going drop on March. 15, 2002.

He told me the release of the 2200+ is on that date and will cause the 1900+ price drop.

Wanted to put in my order for a new Athlon 1800+ this week but after what he said I'm wondering should I wait one more week and order the 1900+ instead.

Any truth to what he's saying?
 
I have read that the XP2100+ is going to be released soon and that the T-bred(XP2200+?) is going to released at the Cebit (sp?) in a couple weeks.
 
Intel will make its big quarterly price cuts on April 14th. AMD usually cuts around the same date. Maybe AMD will cut sooner - but I haven't heard an official date yet.

Sorry about picking on your wrong month earlier. I just found it so funny that you made the mistake twice.
