Just put one together this afternoon. I have no problems with ECS boards.
The board does use the second ATX 12v molex power plug so I needed to change out the PS.

And the unit is bundled with a boxed Barton.

This is the first AMD based board I've used that has that molex plug (I have 2 other NForce2 boards). I thought it was DOA until I noticed the stupid thing :( Duh!!

The link indicates a bare cpu. Anyone else getting the boxed Barton?

Do you mean the 12v connector?

Does anyone know what would be good for 1GB RAM (in 2 X 512MB DIMMS) for this board? I've seen mixed results; some people have problems with 1GB for some reason... TIA

Mine came today with a tray CPU, not boxed.

It's numbers are AXDA2800DKV4D

KQYHA0417UPMW

( Well I think that's what they are,they are pretty tiny :p )

The CPU just got done with 20 hrs of Prime95 at 2227mhz and 1.66 volts :)

(edit for cpu update)

Mine looks NIB. It has all the parts and the bags are all factory sealed.

I checked it out for stickers that may indicate if it was refurb'd and did not find any.

why not pay 69.99 for the 2600+ and the same board?

50 bux less for a 2600+ vs 2800+ sounsd like a better deal if u ask me...
