Do these processors have the RCM technology implemented.?

I am interested in seeing how that pans out.

It is still Piledriver based...

the latest AMD Opteron(TM) 6300 series processors built on 32nm "Piledriver" microarchitecture

I suppose than that is Warsaw. Any news on what improvements it brings? Possibily it should have some refining that allows it to reach higher Frequencies or lower power consumption like Richland vs Trinity improvements even through they are both Piledriver based. Not sure if that was thanks to Resonant Clock Mesh or not.

Duhhh.
It was always supposed to be PileDriver based. Look at the slide.

Now does it have RCM or can it clock higher is something we all want to know.

Current as mrmt pointed out.

It looks like just an underclocked Piledriver.

I never said otherwise, that is why I said "I suppose than that is Warsaw".

Resonant Clock Mesh was supposed to be included with Piledriver at launch (Trinity and Vishera), but didn't make it (Check Tom's Hardware editor's comment on a removed page about it). Now, RCM was suppose to allow a increase Frequency of 5-10%, or reduced power consumption. Richland numbers fit along those lines over Trinity. However, I don't recall having heared from any good source that confirms that Richland has RCM (And I googled quite a bit), in what case I could believe that Warsaw has it, too.

Tech Report also posted about this.

AMD announces new Operterons
Operteron does not exist.

As for new server parts, they do look better from perf./watt POV than previous ones. Have yet to see some official spec scores though.

I imagine this would be the most affordable way to do some heavy-duty Folding@Home (BigAdv?)

What i find pretty amazing is that the 16-Core processor is only 95W TDP.

16 anemic derpdriver cores running at Brazos speed. Amazing, isn't it?

There's a small but important difference between making a point and thread crapping. Your hostility is not welcome here.

Well, at that low clock speed anything is possible. Intel sells a 10 core/20 Thread Ivy-E Xeon at 95 W @ base 2.4 Ghz. Of course it's also $1400.

Ahhh, NO. My 2 6234's and motherboard cost me $1200, while my 2 E5639's and motherboard (SR-2 no less) cost $600, and the 5639's beat the opterons. Mind you the 5639's are @2.8 while the 6234's are at 2.4, but they have 24 cores vs the Intel has 24 threads, but the Intel setup wins.

And good luck trying to find 5660's for less than $200 each.
