If I am using a 1gb Tbird, am I stuck with VIA chipsets or is there an INTEL chipset board I can run? I am so sick and tired of the VIA and USB problems with my KT7A RAID board.:|

Yes you are stuck with Via, AMD, or Ali.

AMD Processors are great.
Via Chipsets suck.
Therefore, the only choice left is a Pentium 4.

i dont know if "stuck with" is the right words, but yeah intel doesnt make chipsets for amd.

amd makes the best amd chipset 🙂 the amd 760, or you can go with via/sis/ali/ and soon nvidia

Can you give me an example of a socket A mobo that uses INTEL?

<< 🙂 i said doesn't

intel doesnt make any socketA cpu's and they dont make any socketA chipsets.

YES! This is because Intle and AMD are competitors, so they don't want to help the opposition. Kinda obvious really.

😉

if u stuck with AMD and VIA....u might consider Intel P4
well P4 surely still very expensive for most people I guess...sell around $300 for P4 1.3 + RDRAM 128MB..not mention the Mobo about $200 and also u need new power supply.
