AMD adverts...

Poor form IMHO to bag another product, its certainly illegal in this country!

Edit - AMD are lucky NV doesnt have to resort to this sort of advertising, imagine the laughs they could have with the stuttering bugs, and the bottom falling out of their flagship card price....LOL

I love how they stereotype their target audience. Seriously, Nvidia would crush them if they fought back.

Good thing they're actually marketing though, it is about time.

All Nvidia needs is to record a crossfire run through BF3 with AMD they don't even need to go further. lol

not only is it childish and chessy, its also inaccurate in many cases. they should refrain from wasting money on this type of marketing.

Just a reminder from the forum posting guidelines, before it gets out of hand:

1) No trolling, flaming or personally attacking members. Deftly attacking ideas and backing up arguments with facts is acceptable and encouraged. Attacking other members personally and purposefully causing trouble with no motive other than to upset the crowd is not allowed.

Agreed. I stated in another thread this very same thought:

AMD needs to spend less time and resources making press decks and cheesy youtube commercials, and more time with their driver team being timely and reacting to their competitor's new releases in a more prompt manner.

LOL as if the 6 series was reacting to their competitor's new releases in a more prompt manner and don't bring up drivers the last few from NV have been a joke.

AMD adverts just make me laugh and nothing more but it clear that many NV users are taken them seriously.

After watching that video, you concluded that they actually invested time and effort in making it?

Yes I do, actually. Even if just a little bit of time and money, it was still thrown in. I'd rather have seen them madk a slightly more serious commercial (not too serious, but not ultra cheese), or at least one with better production values like 3dfx's old commercials if I was going to actually spend the time at all to do something like this. But again, I think with their long-standing issues with drivers (serious performance being held back when GCN was initially released, CFX utterly broken for years) and their lethargic response to Nvidia's initial Kepler onslaught, they shouldn't be wasting time or money (however insignificant you might think it is) on a cheese fest commercial. It's doing noting to promote their image in a positive manner, and especially when considering their place with respect to performance vs. Nvidia right now, they're significantly behind thus leaving them very little (nothing) to brag about.

well they are flat out lying claiming their bundled games run better on their hardware.

I agree it is low class, childish, and cheesy. After seeing some of the posts in these forums though, I am sure it will appeal to some amd fans. Question is whether it will convince non-amd fans or just offend and alieanate them. Also the stressing of the game bundles immediately marks me think "if your cards are so great, why do you give away games to sell them".

Don't get me wrong, I like amd cards, and am currently using a 7770. I just don't particularly like these ads.
