AMD A64 Pricing Structure

AMD has done very well of late in its CPG division mainly, I believe, because of the A64's ability to hold a price point and to a lesser extent, an increase in market share. Do we know or have a general idea if AMD is going to move the pricing structure on their S939 cpu's (downward) anytime soon? It seems that the S939's in particular are going to "stick" near the price points they are at until a successor to the 4000+ is released or similar. Your thoughts?

There is supposedly a price cut going to happen in February on AMD's side (I believe because Intel also is cutting some prices in Feb).

I actually have been trying to find what the new price points will be for all the processors, to no avail, as it effects whether I will buy now or wait a couple of weeks. But I will say that if it's in line with the TRADITIONAL AMD and Intel cuts, all the chips will be taken down one price 'notch.' We're living in strange times right now though and I'm not sure if that'll be the case this time.

One more thing to keep in mind - presently retailers have access to rebates AMD has put on the A-64 chips. These rebates will become part of the price cuts when they come. Whether the price cuts will be equal to, or greater than the rebates I don't know, but it is not unusual for prices to drop on these processors shortly before a cut - and we're definitely in that period right now. Look at the prices all over the Internet! They're falling all over, but slowly...
