AMD A4 4000 or A4 7300?

So since I am buying this new intel board and CPU it means I am going to put my current AMD board into a old PC and sell it as is whole with windows.

But since I have a 760K AMD which does not support built in GPU it means I have to get a video card which makes no sense because the buyer I have just wants to play youtube in HD.

However from my experience with a old Pentium G3220 the onboard in that chip is not capable of playing youtube in HD it stutters a lot and has low fps. so I assume it MIGHT be the same for the low end AMD?

Which APU would be suitable for playing Youtube in atleast 720P HD? I assume only expensive ones can play 1080p but I want a CHEAP APU just to sell this old system as a functioning system for normal use. I already have a buyer for it but he wants to see youtube in HD

A4 4000 should be enough, but you could also get a cheap r5 230 or gt 720 which would leave the buyer with a better cpu.

One of the things to note this CPU is hot as hell, fan runs like a jet engine.

And I will be using a XTECH case that comes with a chinese 400W power supply "I bet it only does 150W at 40 degree C". Case and PSU costs $27 locally. Was trying to keep the power at absolute minimum.

http://www.amazon.com/XFX-Low-Profi...e=UTF8&qid=1439768913&sr=8-11&keywords=gt+610

If I was going to buy a GPU I was thinking this for $30, I find $50 is too much. lol

But I can get the A4 4000 locally for a much cheaper price than Amazon. Literally $40 USD locally because I am buying a new cheap case for the guy. And I could sell back my 760K

The only thing that has me scared is experience with iGPU and youtube they cannot process HD videos. If I could find out maybe if someone here has an A4 4000 chip how it performs with youtube then yeah

Can't you just talk to the guy and explain that with a bit more he could get a better psu and an entry level gpu vs budget psu with a slow APU? Would also save you time in reselling the 760k

You make a very good point here. And I could just buy him a new HD 5450 1GB GPU on Amazon for $30

ok guys I talked to the fellow and he is willing to put out $100 USD more.

So I will buy a cheap nvidia 210 GPU and a decent budget power supply for him instead of the chinese one. And I will give him my 760K Athlon.

He is only going to use it for an Office Desktop and watching his movies, downloading music and streaming HD videos on youtube.

I THINK a GT 210 or 410 or something thats Nvidia should play 1080P videos on youtube fine?

I only need to find a $30 GPU on Amazon now. I think Nvidia is the better way to go because AMD always crashes with flash

So guys it just so turns out I have an old ASUS Ge Force 7600 GS silent PCIE 1.0 hardly ever used.

Do you all think this thing even supports adobe flash/html 5 video acceleration for youtube? if this works I won't even need to buy a new card assuming it can play HD videos on youtube at full FPS

I could sand paper the bracket with the slight rust on it and make it look new, and the guy won't know the difference. If not the other choice is between the GT 210 or HD 5450 radeon band new from Amazon.

If you are not in that much of a hurry this Powercolor HD5450 on Newegg cycles on and off sale (every two or three weeks) for $9.99 after $20 rebate, free shipping.

It is basically the go-to card if you don't have an iGPU and need something cheap.

I think the combo of Athlon x4 760K and 7600GS should work just fine as I am able to play 1080p You tube with a C2D E6550 and GMA 3100 iGPU. The CPU does the work and your Athlon x 4 760K is much more poweful than my 2.33 Ghz Core 2 duo.

P.S. Nividia lists H.264 support for 7600GS, but it wasn't until 2009 that flash support was announced--> http://www.adobe.com/aboutadobe/pressroom/pressreleases/200906/060209AdobeandNvidia.html

Not sure if that flash support was retroactive to cards like the 7600GS (released in 2006) or not?

Nah you know what, the guy is paying me for something new and from his understanding its a new part. I will just buy him a budget $30 GPU instead of selling him this 10 year old thing then in a few months you hear it stops working or something? capacitors too old etc.

He is spending $600 USD

I am selling him my parts and using the money to replace my AMD with the intel system cause to be honest he don't need that intel for what he wants. ANd my parts are only 4 months old and I know it works very well so far so I am pretty sure he is getting something good.

Plus I am still giving him his 1 year warranty aswell. Not like he didn't agree to the extra $100 you know. I will be a good guy here lol

I still can't understand why someone would spend $600 for a used 760k system when for less money you can get any cheap dektop on sale from a retailer more than capable of doing office and media workloads

Why in the world would you want to do any of this? Buy a new AMD 5450 or an nVidia GT720 video card for well under $50. The GT720 will hardware accelerate 1080P videos, and the 5450 will hardware accelerate at least 720P, and anything that they can't hardware accelerate, the 760k should handle quite easily.

PowerColor HD5450 + Athlon II X2 280 3.60GHz AM3 is the way to go. Same processor price as A4-4000 for $30 around.

I have an A4 5000 laptop, it uses single channel memory so the iGPU won't be all that great, it can play videos at 720p and the processor struggles in a lot of places. Overall it's a subpar processor, I only use the laptop for casual traveling.

PS- lol "AMD always crashes with flash".
