Eh? The Intel chart was a misrepresentation, probably the 1st trick in book of lying by statistics. AMD is fighting for air at this moment and had to slash prices by 1/3 to stay competitive. AMD being in trouble is the simple truth.

Why spend so much energy to emphasize their financial troubles on a thread about PERFORMACE??? It's getting old and it only tells me that this is a tool used by trolls to attack AMD. We all know how much they're struggling, there's no need to bring it up all the time, on every thread. I see that you are ok with this, keep it up

I have said it yesterday,I will say it again. Trolling against AMD on AT forum is getting out of the hand unfortunately . No matter what the topic is their GPUs microstutter,their CPUs bottleneck and they are going bankrupt every few months (for 6 years now!). It's amazing.

And yet the mods don't do shit to fix this. If it was an Intel related thread... immediate action, vacations left and right, etc

Generally speaking when GPU limited AMD's cpus tend to get slightly higher fps than Intels, this is not the case at any point in the review I linked. So barring some logic changing difference with A10 vs PhenomII/Bulldozer/Piledriver it seems pretty obvious the AMD cpu is struggling in mins which is bringing average below the Intel cpu.

Imho, the most obvious explanation would be the missing L3 and different memory controller. That could very well lead to a performance offset of several %.

That said I wholly disagree with the general use of avg fps in CPU reviews that currently takes place. From my own personal experience with many of the chips used in reviews I find their results disingenuous to the actual realities of the games themselves. Often you'll find reviews like WoW where the AMD cpu is getting 70+ fps and the Intel is getting 120+, people will of course say the AMD cpu is providing enough fps for it to not matter, however in my own personal experience in raiding, towns, and other high pop areas the real performance of the cpu is considerably lower to the tune of about 1/3 the reported average in many reviews.

Agreed, it's very hard to show representative performance in MMOs and they are years behind the rest of the gaming industry on the engine side and most of them still prefer fast singlethreads.
But on the other side I've also had games which performed a lot better than benchmarks would have made me believe they would. LoL, Civ5 and Sins of a Solar Empire ran fine on the 780G chipset graphics of my AM3 board...

Thats your excuse of putting up a graph which misrepresents Intel's financial position?! The AMD Trinity (and the current BD/PD) is lackluster and there no playing around that fact. http://hexus.net/tech/reviews/cpu/46157-amd-a10-5800k-dual-graphics-evaluation/ AMD financial problems are being brought up quite often because there is a stream of bad news coming out at this time and the official statements aren't that reassuring

AMD financials have been brought up at every major release of any of the two companies even back when Intel released their very first Pentium. I have yet to encounter a forum poster with a hit rate of more than 50%.

Hey banana guy, i didn't post any graphs, i just mentioned or better yet replied to someone who was ok with the AMD graph but when the intel was posted he went nuts, so don't put words in my mouth and calm down ok?
PD is more than ok, it plays every game out there. I don't know how can you label them lackluster when they trade blows with a 3570K. Only negative i find compared to Intel is power consumption.
