AMD 900 Recall

I was just informed by Accubyte.com that they will not be able to send my AMD 900 Thunderbird Socket A CPU because AMD was recalling them due to overheating. Has anyone else heard this?
 
I just e-mailed AMD tech support asking for a clarification on this.
Haven't seen anything on the sites I visit. Will post AMD's answer when it comes in.🙂
 
Hate to get off topic so quickly but..


I would highly suggest not ordering from Accubyte.com. Their rating on resellerratings.com is absolutley horrible.

Hmmmm....Sounds fishy then. I wonder why they would tell me that. I suppose they just didn't have any in stock or they decided they were selling it me too cheaply, huh?

They had asked if I wanted to go with a 950 or an 800, I said just refund my money. Supposedly, they will.

I may just buy a 700 for now and wait for the next big price drop in 2 months.
