AMD 900 Recall

I was just informed by Accubyte.com that they will not be able to send my AMD 900 Thunderbird Socket A CPU because AMD was recalling them due to overheating. Has anyone else heard this?

I just e-mailed AMD tech support asking for a clarification on this.
Haven't seen anything on the sites I visit. Will post AMD's answer when it comes in.

I would highly suggest not ordering from Accubyte.com. Their rating on resellerratings.com is absolutley horrible.

Sounds like someone has problems getting 900's, but doesn't want you going somewhere else.

Hmmmm....Sounds fishy then. I wonder why they would tell me that. I suppose they just didn't have any in stock or they decided they were selling it me too cheaply, huh?

Thanks for checking it out for me. I also appreciate the link to the resellerratings.com site. I've started reviewing every online company I deal with.

They had asked if I wanted to go with a 950 or an 800, I said just refund my money. Supposedly, they will.

I may just buy a 700 for now and wait for the next big price drop in 2 months.
