I am using 4870 right now, and wana buy 7870/7950 soon...

I am using Asus P5Q Deluxe Mobo tht uses Pcie 2.0, So now if i buy any of the above card how much will i miss on performance as the new cards are Pcie 3.0. [ plz confirm the card is compatible with my old mobo. ]

Which of the card is better for gaming @ 1920x1080 single monitor with everything max in games like Far cry 3 and the likes.. (i dont wana overclock)

PS: How long is 7950 in Length?

You will lose a negligible amount of performance between PCIe 2.0 and 3.0, so don't stress over it. The 7950 is faster than the 7870 so of course it will run 1920x1080 better.

The HD4870 is a PCIe graphics card and your motherboard has a PCIe expansion slot, therefore any PCIe graphics card will work with your motherboard.

7950 dimensions:
Sapphire - 11.42" x 4.92" x 1.38"
XFX - 10.5" x 4.4" x 1.5"
MSI - 10.28" x 4.37" x 1.5"

craige4u what's your CPU? Almost any socket 775 CPU will bottleneck a 7950. It'd have to be a heavily overclocked C2Q for the upgrade to 7950 to make any sense, unless you are planning to upgrade the CPU+mobo+RAM soon.
