AMD 760

I have been thinking about upgrading my system to the Abit KT7 raid board, and Thunderbird, from Asus K7M and Athlon. I would also buy new PC133 memory (a big part of the cost of doing this).

From what I have read, AMD 760 based boards are not too far off.

Any opinions about waiting for this, and DDR memory? It sure used to be easier (but not as much fun) when processors and chipsets only changed every year or two....

To add fuel to the fire, here are a few posts that you can mull over:

My guess is that a new DDR setup is possible by the end of the year for about $75 more than same current PC133 SDRAM setup.
Depends on what the premium is on the new motherboards.
