AMD 6950 Problem

Hello,

I am having problems with my HD 6950 in Battlefield 3. It feels like microstuttering, but I am currently using one card.

I can see the screen refreshing. It cut a picture in half and moved it a bit to show you what I exactly mean. I looks similar to this:

I used older drivers (11.12) till today.. I installed the 12.2 version, I still have the same problem.

I hope you guys can help me.

Thanks in advance!

That looks like screen tearing, which is when your FPS is faster than your screen refresh rate.

Turn on Vsync and test again, see if it goes away.

If so, you can limit the FPS your cards generate, this way you don't have to play with the lag introduced by Vsync, and won't see the tearing anymore. In BF3, open console with tilde key ~, type gametime.maxvariablefps 60

You can also use the built in FPS monitor by typing render.drawfps 1 in the console.

Try it out and report back.

Thank you for your response! My monitor is a 120hz 3D monitor. Or shouldn't the hz matter?
I connected my graphic card to my monitor and my TV though..

Could this be a problem?
