Be honest here please.
How many of us are running a 64bit OS and 64bit applications, on a regualar basis?

Just downloading and installing xp64 beta or linux64 does not count, you actully need a practical application for x86-64 to vote yes in either catagory

I've got an Athlon 64 3200 in my notebook, and though I've tinkered with the 64 bit Beta WinXPs and the 64bit version of Fedora, I haven't stuch with either for very long. Linux, because it still suffers from all the flaws that kept me from using 32bit linux full time. And Windows because there are no 64 bit drivers for mobile Radeon's yet.

I'm hoping OmegaDrivers will mod the 64bit ATI drivers eventually.

I use my A64 for all the other benefits, on die memory controller, SSE2, gaming speed, runs much cooler then a P4, and faster in the great majority of cases...

64 Bit wasn't a deciding factor for me. If I use that capability in the future, great, if not, no loss IMO.

I do not own one, but use 64bit edition of XP pretty often..

Once it matures some more, I don't see any problems.

never touched anything 64bit.
don't care.. my A64 outperforms my AXP in anything, anyways.. even in regular 32bit XP Pro.

You need to donate, so he will be able to buy the appriate hardware to do the work and testing. For a while he
could not do his work because he was lacking funds for an x800. SO give the guy $5 for his efforts. Thanks.

WinXP-64 beta is the only OS I have installed on my A64 box, though I'm not using any 64-bit apps (yet).

Yes, and this should be a choice.

Windows 64 should come out somewhere this summer right? Well definately am looking forward to see how much performance increases...
By the time game's are suitable for 64 bit i probably will have updated the computer...Still AMD most likely

I'm on XP64 right now, and using 64bit apps(64bit Chronicals of Riddick, baby).

What he said 😉

there should be an option for used 64 bit windows, then went back to regular because not enough 64bit apps out yet. for example alcohol 120% won't work or any image mounting program i could find on the 64 bit version of windows. thats a reason i went back

Just downloading it and booting once does not count, Just like sitting in the drivers or passangers seat of a ferrari (doesn't count) is not the same as taking one out on the road and using it every so often (driving it).

I have sat in a ferrrai and dodge viper, but never got to drive one. Driving is differant than sitting.
They are two differant things. You actually have to have a use (application) for 64bit to say i have a use for my 64bit memory addressing.
