For the holiday's, I recieved an ASUS A8-NE Mobo, EVGA PCI Express 7800 GT, 1 Gig of OCZ RAM PC-3200, and the AMD 64 3700. The computer is not that quick, I went from an AMD 2100 to this new processor and it doesnt seem to be running right, its pretty slow with opening things, it should be running quicker. My hard drive isnt SATA and is 5 years old but I dont think that would do it. After installing this hardware, I never reformatted, can that be the reason , like all my hardware isnt harmonized with each other? Its not even running BF2 that smooth, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I really need help.

Thanks,
Joey

Yes you need to reformat and install the chipset drivers on the motherboard CD. You should notice a huge difference from the 2100.

yes it definitely will.

Thats the #1 rule your supposed to follow after you build a new rig (and its up and running).

from what you have described, your problem is two things.
1 your hard drive is very old suggestion would be to get a new one, just for your data's sake as your drive probably isn't going to last much longer.

2 you should reformat and reinstall your os to optimize your system.
