The root of the problem is a glut of data (overpopulation,) and the "system" can only be expanded so much to accommodate it, before hitting technical limitations - in large cities, this means physically running out of free space to pave. If you have ever flown an airplane, you would understand this. Flying is much easier than driving, mostly because you don't have to worry about actually running into anything (obstructions are so far apart, and there are rules as to what altitude to fly depending on direction and other things).

Well, that's simply untrue. Every airplane's entire route is pre-planned and monitored constantly by the pilots and each airport's Air Traffic Control tower the entire time to avoid collisions. Passenger planes also aren't flying into suburban neighborhoods, or parking downtown.

I should never have responded in the first place, but since I did, I will continue. (I'm a gluton for punishment.) At least half of the airports I have flown to have not had air-traffic controllers. Our flight plans are pre-planned, but that again has nothing to do with running into objects in space, because they simply don't exist (or at least they are far enough apart that they are less of a worry than when driving). When I got into flying, I was simply amazed at how easy it was. I thought it was much easier than driving, since I went through groundschool at the same time I did Drivers Training, so I didn't have a more experience one way or the other at the time. While in transit, there is little to worry about in comparison to driving a car. Of course at the departure and arrival points there is much more to worry about than driving a car, so it is more of a change of where you have the traffic and congestion. You aren't allowed to have a momentary loss of concentration when driving, but it is far less important to keep a constant concetration level when flying. Of course the consequences of crashing are far more severe, but it is also much more difficult to do on a standard airplane.

Edit: I love how this conversation quickly departed from the actual subject of the 45nm AMD processors, since there is so little information available on them. I am actually glad that I read through all of this though, since Taltamir gave me an idea for shaving, that I have tried out and I haven't had razor burn since. (I just shave with the grain of my hair, instead of against it, and now the areas that always had ingrown hairs have been pretty smooth.) So thanks, Taltamir 🙂
