Yesterday they were 295 at newegg... Today theyre at 325..... Anyone know of a place where they have them in stock for less than 300 bucks?

Edit : And now newegg took the Epox Epox EP-9NDA3+ mobo off their website.... Figures today would be the day I decide to order this stuff....

Should I wait a few days for the price to drop? Or should I just go ahead and get a 3500+ with a newcastle core?

Wow the Winchesters have gone up considerably. I say go Winchester. Have you thought about the AMD64 3200+ ?? It is $210 OEM @ Newegg and you can oc EASY to 3500+ speeds. Even better the 3000+ is $165 OEM and can oc to 3500+ speeds as well. :) G-Luck 90nm's run cooler, have a small performance benefit over the newcastles, and oc very well on air!

i heard the 3000+ 3200+ and 3500+ are all the same, only the multiplier is top locked differently, and most of em can get to 2.6G more or less

and maybe they pick out the better ones for 3500+ who knows.

but for 3000+ to get to 2.6ghz u need 290 x 9 or something, and its a little iffy if ur mobo will take u that high, even with the msi neo2 plat...

so getting 3200+ and aim for 260 x 10 is a safer bet

I can only get to 2.2 on my 3200+ winchester. Either it is due to my motherboard or F@H being too picky.

that is really werd what heatsink? i saw you have an abit board and 1 gig of hyper kingston x. i dont know if that motherboard it good for oc but ussaly abit boards are so. also did you loosen the timing of the hyper kingston x and raise the voltage?
