AMD actually did make a 3400 for s939, but it was for OEM builders only. Its not mislabeled.

get the 3500 its the same thing as the 3400 just has a better core. make sure you get the same socket as the motherboard u have or are going to get man because u have a socket 754 and a socket 939 those arent compatible with each other i would suggest if you havent got the board yet than get the socket 939.

thanks DEMO24, it probably the difference between the FSP and like w00t said, the 3500 has a better core. lol i know they are differenent sockets, i just wanted to know what made the 3500 better than the 3400. Obviously u'd think its better because it's more expensive and its the newer chip, but basically thats what i wanted to know, thanks w00t and DEMO24 :)

The 3500's loss of 200MHz is made up for mainly by dual channel. They'll both perform about the same.

EDIT: I assumed this was 3400+ S754 against 3500+ S939.

thanks thanks again ! <3 you guys and the information ! :)

EDIT: so you think its worth going for the 3500? i dont have enough atm and i don't really intend on spending money towards a 3700, but as far as the 3400 and 3500, would you go AMD3500???
