Ad came out this morning for Sacto Fry's -- AMD 3100+ and mobo for $129.99

Is this the Sempron based on the AMD 64 thingie?

Concord Frys doesnt have this

Anyone know? Seems hot

3100+ is the Socket 754 version. $129 for this combo is an incredible deal. If Fry's here in Austin has it, I might get one to use for...er, get back to me later on that. 😀

Um. I'm looking at the Fry's add in this paper and I don't see 1) anyt combo including a 3100+ or 2) any combo for $129.

What's the combo code, big homie?

Waiting on confirmation that this is indeed on sale at the Sac store. Looking for a processor that runs cool and this seems like it does. Think this would be a good addition for the HTPC I'm building?

BTW ECartman, what mobo are they offering with this combo?

Ad says:
"AMD Athlon XP 3100+ Processor and motherboard"

Bare CPU with Quantispeed Architecture
Dual Channel Support
nForce Ultra 400 Chipset

#4183803

It is in todays Sacramento Bee TICKET section on page 18

I see it. Those idiots!

There is no Athlon XP 3100+. And this combo comes with a NF2 400U motherboard (looks like ECS) which wouldn't be compatible with the real 3100+.

Just called. It's a misprint...in their system that code brings up 3000+.

Not a good deal. The Mobile XP is half the price and will OC higher than this thing stock or OC'd.
