Hey i have read many things about the 2500 bartons overclocking stablilty and have heard that it gets to as high as 2.2 ghz and staying stable compared to the 1.83 default clock. right now my amd 2500+ is in a leadtek nforce2 ultra 400 motherboard with a FSB of 200 under optimal setting within the bios. i have my fsb at 200 and my multiplers at 10 so im sitting at 2.0ghz and it runs idle at 51c and under load in CS:S jumps to about 59 then crash my source game and eventually resets it self. I have a thermal take heatsink and fan on it with artic paste for my thermal compound. my case fans are 2 titan 120mm fans with LOTS of Airflow one in thats on the back part of my case and two blowing out 1s my side case fan and one 120 in the front. Basically i think the processor may be a bit old and i would like to get 400 FSB. I just purchased a 6800 GT 256 made by XFX and a XFX Mach 4 motherboard.. I need some advice whether or not i should use my current motherboard and CPU combo or take my new motherboard and either buy a new heatsink and fan or buy a new CPU to get my 400 FSB if i can... im kind of a noobie but im learning 😀.. If you guys have question's on what im trying to say feel free to post or email me. I would really like to take some advice from you guys in this forum cause its quite a popular Forum.
Thanks,
Jordan
