Well, I noticed the other day that my pc has been running a bit hot. (Looking at it rige ht now in bios, i have a 60c/140f proc temp and a 39c/102f mobo temp.) I have a full tower case, five fans (p/s fan, two blowing out, a slot fan under the vid card, and one pulling in.)

I have a bad feeling that the proc is cooking itself. I have heatsink grease on the heatsink (no thermal pad), and the fan is turning at 5300rpm. I hate to cook this thing..

BTW the proc is a AMD Athlon 1100 (100fsb ver), not overclocked.

TBird's ran pretty hot. What kind of cooler you have on there? If it's a tiny all-aluminum thing you're fine. If you have a copper-beast on there with a 5k+ rpm fan I'd say it might be a contact problem between the die and heatsink.

I have a Thermaltake orb-style cooler. I have been seeing varying temps from 50c to 60c. Just as added insurance, i installed the asus probe software to keep an eye on the temp while in windows. it is set to shut the system down if the temp gets any hotter 70c.
