AMD 1.4Ghz with Tyan Trinity for $249 @ Fry's

Hmmm, that combo is listed as $229 in the Oakland Tribune today.

There's also an OEM Seagate 30 gig 5400 RPM HD with only 1 MB of cache for $70, straight up. Not too shabby, but not as good as the CompUSA 30 gig retail Maxtor with 2 MB for $80 with a $20 MIR over the July 4th weak end. Still, not a terrible drive to put in one of those Fry's Shuttle AK 12/Duron 750 combos we all stocked up on last week.

Kiyi, will you stop use PC if Tyan bankrupt? There are ten's of MB manufacturer, it is highly possible some brands will disappear.

No-cal price is $229, but OEM CPU, not boxed, how about $249 combo? So we need to add at least $20 for heat sink and fan. Is it worth to pay extra $50 to upgrade to 1.4G over 1.2G? Why not pay for DDR?

Any guys know DDR combo deal?

socal's is oem also. personally i thought the soyo ddr board with the 1ghz boxed was the best. it had dip switches, and non VIA problems since it was ALI, and the 1ghz was probably an axia anyways. plus it was $179. there is also a optical mouse for $10 to add that i thought was a decent price

went to Fry's friday night... they had about 10 unopened and brand new of these motherboards. picked one up.
I hate it when there's that white returned sticker on items.
