AMD 1.44 Retail 243.94 shipped

<< how many times must i tell u people.....GO INTEL >>

ok since I haven't seen you rant about the advantages of "GOING INTEL", why don't you amuse the masses here and provide information based on facts. Provide detailed info on why in your humble opinion it clearly makes sense to pay more, be forced to use more expensive RDRAM, and be limited in ability to overclock if you desire to do that.

I eagerly await your cold hard facts, based on real test data!

Thank you!

😀

This 1.4 may be good for people that don't overclock. But it's still better to get a 1.33 or 1.2. You have a better chance to crank up the FSB more.

yeah please tell us why intel is better, is it because of the math problem they had when the pentium first came out? or the intel chipset problem from the p3 and the p3 1.1 gig, that had to be recalled, yeah that is why, go intel

I have an AMD machine, but I blame instability on VIA, not AMD. But AMD should make sure the chipsets work well too...that's the only argument for Intel.

Why intel is good:

1) They have a romantic relationship with Rambus which shaft pretty much everyone.
2) They charge you double than what AMD charges. This really means their product is better than AMD.
3) Intel makes every attemp for you not to overclock their product because you could damage your cpu. They're looking out for you.
4) The executives are sitting around giggling every time they see people supporting Intel.

what?!?

ohh ya and this one too:

dont blame it on via, blame it on creatice maybe though you should have that worked out by now. or maybe you should hire someone to figure out what you have wrong with your setup if you cant find it yourself. the via chipsets are plenty stable, are you useing some generic motherboard or something?

cybertainment, try listening to the news, OK? Heven't you seen the market lately? Eventhough intel announced that the 2Q will have a better outlook, but look at what happened last Friday. Intel stocks went down, but AMD continued to go up. As you can see AMD is gaining bigger and bigger shares of the market because it has proven time and time again that it's the better chip, not to mention the cheaper one. So if I were you, throw away that system of yours and move to higher grounds man. Go AMD! You'll be making that best decision in your life.
Cool!

Haahahh, I can see that we are getting off topic. This deal is about getting the cheapest AMD T-bird 1.4 GHz. Anyway, I think that AMD CPUs are good, if not better than Intel's.

Considering a 1.3 GHz Athlon-C can hold its own with a P4 1.7 GHz, it is pretty obvious that AMD is the better solution... The 1.7 GHz Palomino will blow the 1.7 P4 away! I can't wait till the thoroughbreds 🙂

Too funny... A guy makes a 1 sentance statement that we all know is BS, and it's followed by 16 replies! Do you feel stupid now?

I wonder what would be the results of a poll on how many AMD chips have been blown up compared to Intel. It's a damn good thing that they are cheaper.

everyone knows AMD it for 31337, Intel for 14M4H$'s! whatever proof do you need.

anyone see the 760smp benchmarks ... can you say intel got SPANKED. Xeon 1.7 muhahah you die now.

Forget Intel and AMD, it's all about Cyrix and Via cpus, they rock and only cost 2 for a dollar, man I just realized how big a nerd I am
