Getting warmer here in FL and had the AC on last night (although a cold snap came with some rain today). Anyway, my pc sits DIRECTLY under an AC vent and when the air comes on, my CPU temp drops 3-6 degrees sometime! Real Temps says one core got down to 11C!?!?!?!?!

I live in Maine, and my PC sits right in front of a window. The other night, we had the heat up pretty high (since it was about 10 below 0), but the bedroom got a little too hot for me. I opened the window about 4-5 inches, which allowed for the rear intake fan on my Lanboy Air to take the frigid outside air and blow it right into the intake fan on my heatsink. My temperatures were in the teens, and since the Lanboy Air is all mesh construction, every component in my system dropped by about 10-15c.

Our summers here in Maine get so humid and miserable, it becomes almost impossible for me to sleep. Usually around July is when I cave and put the AC in, so I won't get to test my AC temps for quite a while. It'll be interesting to watch my CPU temps rise over the next few months as we get into spring and summer.

To hell with you and your air conditioner in MARCH. I still have to start my car 15 minutes before I leave for work to melt the ice off the windshield. I still have to exercise caution when driving through an intersection because I can't see over the snowbanks.

If my CPU is idle and goes into power saving mode, it runs just a few C above ambient temp.
