Yep.

I ordered a CD for rachelmb back in September of last year (BEP - Monkey Business) and they shipped it and it didn't arrive... ever.

because amazon estimates to the max shipping dates

1. Amazon deliberately overestimates the final delivery date.
2. Amazon ships "early".
3. UPS gets package.
4. UPS delivers package earlier than Amazon's estimated delivery date.
5. Customer gets free shipping and an "early delivery".
6. Profit!

Have you tried signing up for the Amazon Prime trial? Free 2nd day shipping, no need to bundle items together. It's free for 3 months and it's easy to set it to not upgrade after the 3 months (you just need to remember to do this). It's literally a little button you press, "do not automatically charge me when the trial ends." My trial account ends near the end of august, but it was great for the few things I used it for
