Went in at 10:59 and it wasn't for sale. Immediately tried to reload and got in at 11:01 and the item wasn't on the page. At 11:02 it was sold out... what a waste of time.
 
haha, there were probably 400,000+ people trying to get 1000 machines all at the exact same time

it is definitely logical that it sold out that fast
 
Lol... they wernt kidding when people said this would be over in 2 seconds. I was actually hopefull that being there at 11am would be enough. I was refreshing about every 30 seconds (thats how long it took for the server to respond) and on one refresh it hadn't started yet... next refresh it was sold out.

I particularly dislike the "claim" system amazon is using. This allows ANYONE to reserve a system with no intention of actually buying it. What happens to the unclaimed systems tomorrow night?

Well guess I can stop trying for any more of these amazon deals.. it is clear that more then 1000 users were able to claim within seconds making it a futile luck of draw.
 
I will beleive it wasnt a scam if I hear that peeps actually got one....I just want to see who got them....should have been atleast a few online here at Anandtech that got some.

When amazon finally loaded all I got was a sold out on the 360. I got to the security question for the bike but now nothing is loading.
 
i had 3 machines loaded up with the page open on each browser (6 windows) I got 2 security questions out of those and both were sold out when i answered
 
Heh, it loaded fine at 1:55 EST, but after that, it was slow. I had a few tabs open and was refreshing, from 1:55 on, it took until 2:03 to show me "sold out at this price". Heh, I had to laugh a little when it finally came up though. This reminded me off trying to use a cell phone after a big football game, everyone tries to use their phone, a select few hit it just right timing wise to get in. Congrats to anyone who picked this up.

Edit: I'm surprised how many people are calling scam. There were a boat load of people trying to buy a very small supply of something, all at the same moment. Imagine a few thousand people trying to run through the doors of a local store at one moment; a few will get in, but most of us will be stuck outside smelling each other's turkey breath.
 
hahah that was lame! still not refreshing... this ruined my thanksgiving day so I'm suing for punitive damages 🙂

set the Firefox extension for 5 seconds auto refresh for the rest of the day.
 
Totally agree, waste of time.
I already pressed to get the deal, continued to answer a math question and check agreement, then it's gone.
Fxxking waste of time and energy.
 
Doesn't seem like a smart business move if this deal kills anyone from reaching amazon to buy anything....almost like they should call it "ddos attack invite day"
