They tell you when you're ordering how slow it is. I think of it as a game...I order something and then 10 days later I've forgotten about it so it's a surprise!

7 business days for them to ship out my item.
Ouch. Guess I should pay the 7 bucks next time, that'll show me.

I dont mind the slow transit time, what pisses me off is that they just sit on the orders for spite.

Want proof? I ordered using Super Saver shipping recently. They told me it would arrive on June 30. Here was part of the tracking info:
June 24, 2008 08:36:00 PM WARRENDALE PA Shipment has left seller facility and is in transit
June 27, 2008 10:18:00 PM WARRENDALE PA Arrival Scan
Now Warrendale is only about 15 miles from me. When I saw they shipped from there on June 24, I figured I'd have it the next day. Three days later, it goes back to where it shipped from? What were they doing, driving around the block for three days?
I did receive it on June 30, exactly when they said I would, but I cannot understand how it took 6 days after "shipment" to get the 15 miles to me.

Or pay $70/year for 2day shipping on everything you buy there (aka Amazon Prime). I'm honestly considering it because I did a lot of Christmas shopping there last year. I also tend to buy several groceries that aren't sold locally, books, movies, and some games.
With rising gas prices, and thus rising shipping costs, it might be prudent to just bite the bullet and get Amazon Prime. The thing that keeps me away is the up front cost and the fact that most of the stuff I mentioned above, I can easily wait 2 weeks to receive it.
