I ordered my Archos Jukebox this afternoon from Amazon with Super saver shipping. Does this shipping option really take the full 8-9 days that Amazon claims it does? Or do items usually come quicker than that?

TIA
Brian

I used the super saver shipping when ordering 2 books one time, and got them two days later. Of course, after inspecting the label, they came from the Amazon warehouse across town (I used to work there as well ;)).

Hope your stuff arrives OK... Last time I used super saver shipping, they put my stuff in a flimsy bubble-wrap bag and put it in a box at least two sizes too big. UPS then proceeded to dunk it in water and drive over it with their truck. Luckily it was only a couple of books (they were OK).

this should not be the case, if it was you should have called amazon and they probably would have comped your order.

the packing materials used for all orders should be the same no matter how fast you ship them.

I just had a big problem w/ Super Saver Shipping.

Amazon shipped a PowerShot S45 by USPS (Priority Mail presumably) while shipping the Sandisk CF card by UPS ground. The card was delivered without incident.

The S45 was collected at the post office box for the business (although the shipping address was for the business itself) and the USPS is unable to find out what happened to the package. They assume it was picked up by whoever collects company mail.

To Amazon's credit, they offered a refund without any hassle, but the S45 is no longer available and now I'm stuck w/ the CF card unless I bother with the return. :frown: I asked the CSR if they intend to file a tracer/claim with the postal service, because I'd really like to have the package, but surprisingly he said they weren't going to do any investigation in particular.
