I'm thinkin' of doing this, but Amazon's free shipping via "super Saver" seems to be super slow. As the Amazon rebate must be psotmarked by Feb. 11 this is a concern.

Example: placed an order on Jan. 7th which qualified for Super Saver shipping. Estimated delivery date is Jan. 17-20:Q

Anybody used Super Saver and seen better results than two weeks delivery?

I've noticed that it almost always shows up on your door within a week, no matter what the 'estimated delivery' is.

<<"Can you say "SPOILED"?">>

what's your point? the only reason i mentioned it was because rebates have much shorter "postmark by" dates lately. i'm not gonna buy something depending on a rebate that i may not be able to mail in time 'cause i dont have the product yet....that's all.

I have placed about 7 orders with Amazon in the last three months. All of them with Super Saver Shipping. Everyone of them arrived in about week (the shortest took about 3 days; the longest took about 10 days). That's my experience.

But, you can always order the item. If it does not ship within a few days (if it is getting too late for sending MIR), you can always cancel the order.

As the Amazon rebate must be psotmarked by Feb. 11 this is a concern.

So even it takes the full estimated delivery period (until Jan 20), you still have 22 days to fill out the rebate coupon, clip the upc, put it all in an envelope, and get it to the post office. And you're concerned?

OK OK, so I was a little paranoid! I did place another order earlier this week that had super-saver shipping and the UPS site says it'll be here tomorrow. I feel MUCH better now....

Got on this deal, thanks.
There's plenty of time to send in the Amazon rebates. Even if it doesn't go through, $13 is a pretty good deal. Unless the software is crap. I have their VideoWave 4 SE. It works, so this full newer version "should" be better than the version that I have.
The only thing that I don't like about the VideoWave 4 is the mpeg encoder. The output is pretty bad. Hopefully this version will be better. If not, I just have to use other encoder to make vcds.

Damn...I finally get a minute to sit down and order this...they have raised the price to $59.99, it will be $9.99 after rebate. Oh well, I may still order it.

I searched for this software on pricegrabber, thinking I might find an even lower shelf price and then do an AMEX BVG on that. However, the only "hit" is for Roxio Videowave Movie Creator: Canadian version (like this link at computers4sure). Cannot find any other version thru pricegrabber. It's cheap---about $27-35 bucks at most places. What's the difference? Does it have something to do with DVD encoding regions? Is it in French?

By the way...you can buy it at amazon with your AMEX BVG card, then pricematch to the same product at techstore.com for $39.46. End result: you make $10 plus change.

ktg,

good thinking, since this is a new year, BVG balances should all be at 0.00!!! So I did it. Now to find a good PM.

Anybody have a copy of the ORIGINAL $50 rebate. Not only has Amazon upped the price, they've dropped the rebate to $30.00!! I have it on order for the original price (at least that's what my account shows) but I can't find the orginal rebate.:(

Yes I got a copy of the rebates. THere were 2. 1 for $30 and 1 for $20. I've already fill out my info on them though. I'd call Amazon and B&M about the rebates.

TWO rebates.....OK, now I remember. But who was the $20 one from?

As far as "calling" Amazon, where did you ever find their phone number?! I've never gotten past e-mail with them!

Thanks for the response.

Thanks for the link!

One more question regarding Amazon rebates.....

The deal says "must be purchased by Jan 10th"

I placed my order on Jan 9th. Will they honor this even though they have yet to ship the darn thing?

Thnx.

dD:)
