That would be your state, not amazon causing that.

Correct, not amazon's fault. I've had to pay sales tax for quite some time now. Still doesn't stop me from using amazon prime for just about everything except gas and groceries, it's so much cheaper. And I even use it for groceries I can't get at my local store. Got some good pizza and pasta flour, locally it's like 6 bucks each - amazon it was 1.75.

I love prime. I've seriously bought light bulbs from them on a single order. Best part is you can share the account with up to 4 "family members". We split it between us making it only $16 a year each.

great ploy by Amazon that you've all fallen for

buying items you don't need again and again, don't try to deny it

You don't know what prime is, do you? I ONLY buy things I want/need from amazon and can't ever think of a suggestive sale they've made with me. I go there when I need something specific and buy it.

It's gotten to the point where I won't buy an item unless it can ship with prime.

I had ordered 7 things from amazon in ~2 years. Then I got prime a couple of months ago, and have since ordered 16 things from there D:

What the eff is prime? I get stuff from amazon all the time and i've never heard of it :(

Amazon Prime is a membership program that gives you and your family unlimited fast shipping, such as FREE Two-Day shipping and One-day shipping for $3.99 per item on all eligible purchases for an annual membership fee of $79.

I don't buy nearly enough stuff for it to be worth it.

Me either. I think it's a great service...I did the "trial offer" last year when I ordered new New Balance shoes...delivered in 3 days...but I just don't order enough from them to justify the annual fee.

I see. You pre-pay shipping so you are highly motivated to opt for Amazon every time.

Exactly. It just doesn't make any sense, especially at $79 per year. When you can normally get free shipping on most items. It'll be slow, yes, but it's actually free. I don't think I've ever bought something from Amazon that I absolutely had to get in two days.

If I had to pay for 2 day shipping from amazon or another site for all the stuff I buy it would be at least 500 bucks worth of shipping. Prime is the best thing the internet has to offer, except porn of course. And even then, it's a tough call.

Yeah, that's why I just choose not to pay for 2-day shipping and deal with not getting my items right away. Taking advantage of Super Saver Shipping costs $0 a year and you still don't have to pay shipping costs.

Did you know you can share Prime with three other people? $20/year for unlimited 2-day shipping is a pretty fantastic deal. That's like two or three orders. Shit, just the birthday gifts for my parents, sister, and a few friends was enough, and that doesn't include the stuff I buy for myself or the wife.

I really can't stress enough how much I love Prime. I shop almost exclusively from Amazon, and buy everything from monitors to books to random toiletries. Amazon is without a doubt my favorite company - no bullshit. Awesome customer service, price, selection, can't complain about anything.

ditto. i had it but cancelled within 30 days because i just dont buy enough amazon.com type stuff to be worth it. If i want some food, i go to the grocery store and get it, none of this waiting 2 days for it to arrive crap.. :)
