Amazon Prime went up $20 a year, but now we are getting a free streaming music service. Though there are some catches. Apparently it's missing the biggest music label, Universal, they are still working on getting them on board. And no new music, there is a 6 month waiting period before new music will be available on Prime Music. So I guess I won't be canceling my Google Music subscription anytime soon.
I've been using Prime Music on this website this morning. It need some work, but they got a lot of good music there and I like their pre-made playlists a LOT more than Google Music's user made shared lists.
The website needs a lot of work. For some reason the Prime Music library opens on one tab and the Prime Music player opens in a separate tab. So I have to bounce between tabs when I'm browsing and playing music, that seems like a weird thing. Also I seem to always have to click on Add Playlist To Library more than once. The first click creates the Playlist in the Library, but it's empty, so I have to click it again for the songs to show up.
Overall it's not bad. I wouldn't exactly call it free, since our subscription price went up $20 a year. But still, it's less than $2 a month in a way.
