Hi guys can you believe this,i never had issues with Amazon til now ,but today i received a bill of 99.00US dollares for Prime membership that i never signed in to,and more weird was that was charged to an Amazon Chase visa card, belonging to my wife that was used one time long time ago to get item discount deal, and then never been used no more, besides that was expired when they used it,i already canceled the membership and they say it will be refund the money i guess to the Chase visa card, but i had to call chase and this was too much hassle, hope they strait this up and do not charge me any extra fees,i already deleted all my cards and if i want to order anything i will pay and will not leave my card info so it makes it easy to order stuff,i will never trust them no more.

I see the OP made a post somewhere in the first 100 posts, asking for the thread to be closed as he's been owned enough. No sense in letting people continue to pile on any further. -Admin DrPizza

Did someone in your household sign up for a Prime Trial? If you forget to cancel that after the 30 day free period, it automatically charges your card for the year.

Amazon has the absolute best customer service ever. More than likely a trial was not cancelled. All you had to do was call amazon and say, sorry didn't mean to sign up for a pay membership after the trial and you would be set. Would have taken 5 minutes. Don't understand what the big deal is.

$99 says you or somebody using your account signed up for a prime trial, Amazon doesn't have the reputation they have by scamming people out into prime membership.

Amazon is basically the single most trusted web retailer on the planet, you simply are not going to find many people to take your side on this.

Nope. Sounds like someone's got a case of the stupids (could be your wife, could be you).

Contact Amazon - wait, maybe you think THIS is Amazon?

Mr. FrankRamiro,

Thank you for contacting Amazon.com. We appreciate your business with us.

In regards to the $99... eat it.

Have a nice day.

Question asked, question answered. You or wifey used the card to get a deal that included a Prime trial and didn't cancel when the trial period ended. It's not Amazon scamming you, it's that you're a dumbass.

To reply to you all,no my wife doesn't know how to use Computer, second i did not sign in or requested no membership enrollment nor free trial ,i never use those kinds of services period, i have Kodi that has a gazillion and best movies for free ,

All these auto renewing memberships are kinda like this since they automatically opt in instead of opt out by default. I have at least two memberships like this. It renews, I remember I have it, use it for few times then forget until they remind me by charging me again.

I confess. I broke into your house, took your wife's credit card, bought myself a 55 gallon drum of lube and a copy of Goat Simulator. Sorry I forgot to cancel your Prime trial.

On the plus side, with the money you'll be getting soon from the Nigerian Prince that $99 will be a drop in the bucket!

No, sorry, I don't believe you. Someone in your household decided to watch Prime videos or use Prime shipping or whatever, then didn't cancel during the trial period. But if you talk to Amazon (which is not us) they will fix things.

So then Amazon made a billing mistake, which is still easily corrected in a few minutes with a phone call. Still not a big deal.

Every company makes mistakes from time to time, especially with the volume of business.

Saying that you don't trust them is silly.

Nobody signed in for this service i'm a hundred % sure and this auto renewing crap and taking money out of peoples account without their consent is a scam, but in this case nobody did sign in for this service and this was done by Amazon people, more weird this Prime membership purchase was not part of my account buying items history on my personal account ,they have made a receipt bill hidden somewhere in thew Prime folder screw them.

They haven't done any such thing...

My Prime membership doesn't show up in my order history, either.

Not surprisingly, it shows up under Manage Prime Membership.

IF this happened like the OP claims, this would be the FIRST TIME I've ever heard of anything like this happening with Amazon.

No matter what you have said since your OP, the selected text right there shows that your wife created an amazon chase visa account, to get a discount for something. I bet if she had read the details it included a trial prime membership, that now turned into a real one.

I suspect the Goats backtracked to his account and are responsible.

Right, so you don't use Prime streaming. Doesn't change the fact how easy it is to "upgrade your shipping with a trial of prime" when buying something. Or maybe you had Amazon Student Prime for free and that ran out.
I mean, you have an Amazon credit card, so obviously you buy things there frequently.

Well, maybe your shipping options - when you ordered something - defaulted to "free shipping with a trail of Amazon Prime" and you, or whoever ordered, never noticed.
Or... maybe if you got the interstitial Prime promo page (when checking out) you clicked "CONTINUE" rather than "No Thanks."

Sneaky stuff. Not hard to accidentally signup for Prime if you aren't paying close attention.

Can't tell if srs or not... how can someone be this stupid? I mean wouldn't you at least have tried to reach out to Amazon CS first to get this corrected rather than go on a rant on an Internet forum? "Oh look at me rant on here, Amazon is sooo dumb and unethical. Ohhhhh" D1psh1t.
