It only works for .edu email addresses.. IIRC.
 
Hmm that probably means mine is expiring soon too. $40 a year isn't bad that, I might bite. I basically buy everything from Amazon now.

Yeah, I am seriously contemplating. I am not buying stuff like I used to, but being able to stream TV and Movies is a big plus. It is actually cheaper than Netflix, but I am not sure about the collection.. when compared to Netflix.
 
Are you able to share the $39/year prime with family? My sister has the student free trial prime and it can't be shared with family.

Apparently you can wait up to a year to get the $40 renewal. So if you don't have any purchases lined up (or any videos you want to stream) you can wait a little. (I renewed right away)

I used to have Amazon mom and with that type of account streaming wasnt included, might want to check to make sure it is with this.

Also, their library is less than stellar.
 
I freakin love Amazon's 2 day shipping and overnight shipping for $3.99 shipping. Their customer service is without a doubt the best I have dealt with. I will be getting this when they send me the e-mail.
 
I really enjoyed my free year 🙂

But, I think I will let it expire, no longer going to be a student in a few months and I will just use super saver.
 
I was able to cancel my almost finished subscription. Then I registered for a new one for free. Although, I had to chat with the service to get something fixed, but it only took 20secs. I just told them my prime status is not showing up after I registered for amazon prime.
