Amazon needs to stop using crappy carriers.

They've switched to Ontrac in my area, and they must be the shittiest carrier ever. The tracking says my item was delivered, but I don't have it. Too lazy to ring the doorbell to notify me (is this a new trend)? Left at front door? What? It's definitely been stolen.

This is the 3rd time this happened. Damn you Amazon and your cost cutting measures.

/end rant

Problems with UPS usually, not always but usually, are a result of your local UPS, from the last hub to you.

In our area UPS is THE carrier and I cannot tell you of all the problems we've had to endure from FedEx.

Then again, with 2-day shipping via Prime, the packages seem to be treated much better. After all, they're segregated from the ground shipping stuff and seem to be handled better.

I've had lots of issues with UPS. I deal with them all the time at work, and they are horribly understaffed here. I've had lots of 2 and 1 day air stuff delivered after 9 at night. Give me FedEx any day. They don't seem to enjoy raping your packages nearly as much as UPS.

Still, thank god for Prime.

they are using velocity express here lately. it's some dude in his own car dropping things off at the door, not ringing the doorbell. i actually miss UPS lately.

Lately I have been getting USPS on my smaller Prime stuff. It is still getting to me in two days so I don't care. Plus USPS gets here before UPS.

Yep, I'm on Prime and I get my stuff via UPS or Ontrac. Both shipping companies usually don't knock on the door. They just leave the package at my doorstep - good thing my neighbors aren't thieves :p

I have prime and everything is UPS.

No issues so far.

The only time it hasn't been UPS is when it's freight items and then they have a local company that does a great job.

If you're a Prime member in socal, they deliver with OnTrac. Or if they can't ship in time for a UPS two day delivery, they'll send it overnight with OnTrac.

I think that's why we sometimes get packages delivered by Ontrac

I ordered two things to be delivered the same day with prime, one of them with standard, 2-day prime shipping and one 1-day.

The 1-day came FedEx, the 2-day came UPS.

I've never had a problem with either here, other than the only FedEx location being 30 minutes away for when I miss something that's signature required.

Last package from Amazon was shipped via UPS and the box was all banged up. The product had a crack in it and I had to send it back.
