For many people the simple availibility of an xbox 360 is a hot deal. Even though most of us won't spend that money, it's a deal for someone out there who desperately wants to get their hands on the 360.

TBH, I don't think any of those people frequent this forum.
 
I almost succumbed to temptation with these core deals becoming available from time to time but have now decided to wait for a premium as I have to use component cables.
 
How do people justify paying this much for a video game system? I used to be a hard core gamer, but I would NEVER pay that much.

You do realize that the grand is for more than just the "video game system", right?

 
Yeah, but even just the system itself is, what $400 - $500?? I wouldn't pay that much for a gaming console. I know there is more to it than just a console now, but I guess I'm just a traditionalist. my take is, if I'm going to spend that kind of money, I'll just put that towards a new PC and just to PC gaming.

BTW it is the core system. That's the $300 Unit. They are packing on a ton of games with no wireless controller, hard drive, or remote. SUCKS BIG TIME.

IIRC, that's what some of the old systems debuted at, or at least something close to that (upwards of $350 for sure).

You're right. What that guy meant to say is that he is a traditionalist that waits until the console prices fall 2-3 years after launch and then buys one.
 
go check circuit city's online stock page.
I was able to get a premium in nyc this morning. ccity stock indicator is very very accurate.

Btw this deal is decent if you just want the core. You can return all the crap and keep the console. I did that for a premium bundle, its how my newphew got one under his xmas tree.

core system is da suck tho, i canceled a ccity online order for a core bundle, by the time you add up the crap you need, video cable, hdd, you can pay for a premium system on egay.
 
Out of Stock already. MY GOSH. Why are there so many rich stupid people out there? If you're going to spend that much on a 360, you get the premium!!!!
