It seems that nobody has post a direct link to the Amazon Gold Box. So here it is:

Step 1: Clear your browser cache (for windows 2000 or xp, it's in C:\Documents and Settings\your account name\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files) or: for IE Click "Tools" and choose "Internet Options", click "Settings" under "Temporary Internet Files". Next, click "View Files" tab.

Step 2: Visit http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/stores/static/-/goldbox/index/

You should see a goldbox like this

If you can't see it, repeat step 1 and 2.

Step 3: Click on "personalized recommendations" link and sign in.

i did it, but all i got was hardware items. i thought it was supposed to give u deals in the stores uv bought before
 
OMG...I actually see the gold box at work. I have only seen it at my home computer.

does this mean u can open goldboxes more than once every 24hrs or it still applies..

btw came up as a blank page for me.
 
wow...the first time I had all electronic items...except the prices weren't all that stellar or even good.

yeah, blank fer me on IE6 as well... I've only been able to get my Gold Box on NS6.2
ah well, at least I have one to look in...
 
Someone said before that it is every 8 hours. Thats about right because I've checked it almost every 8 hours that today.

Sorry, for the stupid question: how does one sign up for the Gold Box?
I did it somehow for my account (can't remember how), but my wife cannot get to it. What am I missing?

i've never had to sign up for anything... it was just there. have her clear the cookies and try the link again, and make sure she's logged it. the way it worked for me was to clear the cookies, log in and have it remember the login... and then click on the link.

Computers at work w/ W2K gets it every time, no matter which updates are installed. on a fresh install of XP pro on my home pc, gold box was there religiously. After doing the windows updates (including ie) it no longer appeared. I lowered my secruity settings to medium low, and it has aappeared every time since. I have my cookies set to delete upon shutting down, so you may have to manually delete your cookies on top of the lower security setting. Having a soft/hard firewall doesn't seem to impact it. You may want to add amazon to your "trusted" sites in your security settings to allow more communication. Netscape, mozilla, and opera all work like a charm for me as well. If you really really want a reliable way of getting the GB, try dual booting your OS, and leave the new install totally clean. hope this helps someone, as i know i've gotten some not-too-shabby deals from Amazon. Although the only dvd i've been offered is momento, and that movie sucks the balls!

scarfase99 - I get the exact same thing. Exactly. Every single time I go into the gold box I get ONLY hardware items. I swear I have never bought hardware from them before, and I know that I have bought electronics. Why can't I get some good electronics deals?

Oh well - in any case, for those of you that don't want to bother with the cookies, you can just setup multiple accounts. My wife 😉 and I each have an account, which allows us to double up on coupons, and it also allows us to get two gold boxes per day. At least hers comes up with kitchen stuff which I can use.
