Still not sure what to think about this one.

Seem an interesting idea, but on top of facial recognition on a few other things, you could possibly be installing something in your house that is a powerful bug?

It does seem a good idea in some situations, I just don't like some other implications.

I like the concept, but having someone possibly being able to hi jack the thing and hear everything going on in your house...

Alexa is coming to take over the minions :p

Thoughts ?

friend has 1.
fun for 2mins n then we left it at that. it cant hear you when the music is playing. works fine when room is quiet.

I got mine in February and have yet to hook it up. Was debating eBaying it for a long time since I only paid $99 for it. The only reason I kept it is because so many home automation technologies are tying into it so you can use Alexa for voice commands to turn lights on, adjust thermostats, etc.

The features we use

-timer
-shopping list
-Amazon music (mostly kids)
-Pandora
-bluetooth speaker (rarely)

I also setup the traffic option (you can set one route) but didn't bother with work since it is back roads mostly. I can see how it would be useful if you have a longer commute to get the traffic while you're in the kitchen.
