I opened one to save the $30, paid it off immediately and then closed the account.

this is what i did, and no, it's not retarded.

just leave the card open and put it away somewhere you will never touch it, that way you increase your debt to income ratio and will have a better credit rating :)

It's very nice...it's even nicer when I put my book purchases on my parents Amex. :)

Earlier this year I had the cash on-hand for my wives plastic surgery, However I found out they accepted credit cards for the surgery. I had the wife pay for it using the Amazon card and then turned around and paid it off. A couple of weeks later I go $200 in Amazon reward certificates in the mail. :)

Similar situation but instead we paid for her new lamborghini gallardo.

Paid the balance off at the end of the month and got a nice chunk of gift certificates from Amazon. Used some of the GCs to buy gifts for Christmas. Very nice gifts like Panasonic plasma TVs, Blu-Ray players, got every single console for myself as well.

How much did you spend on the surgery that they gave you $250 in gift certificates?

boob job?

The correct term is breast augmentation but yes a boob job. She lost around 120lbs and had a lot of excess skin and her boobs where very droopy and she lost a couple of cup sizes. She had a tummy tuck, skin removed from her upper arms, breast lift and breast augmentation. She is very happy with her new breasts in the correct location and I haven't minded one bit. :)

My wife is pregnant and doesnt even weigh 120 lbs.

That sounds frail. Non-preggers women are wonderful at like 110-120, nice and squishy.

EDIT: Mandatory :camera:s or ban

From the beginning of Sept. to Dec., I used it non-stop, as they doubled the points for 3 months use during a special promotion. Just got a $50 check in the mail- post-Christmas sales here I come!
