Up until now...I didn't notice that the 6800GT in PCI-E was ~$75 more than its AGP counterpart. IMO...ATI should drop the price of the X800 XT in AGP to ~$290.00 with NO MIR.

imho, now was the best time to pick up a top end agp card for a very, very reasonable price. even if the cost of this card does drop sub-300 w/o MIR in 3-5 months time, by that time pci-e cards will be competitively priced as well, and high-end agp cards like these won't be worth even their slashed prices.

i'm glad i caught the deal though. 288 shipped, VERY hot.

Great! I wish I had not hesitated. (PS - I hope that you saved the rebate form when you placed your order - I don't see it on the link today.)

The reason why the price jumped is b/c Amazon ran out of their own supply of these X800XT AIW vid cards.

Now if you purchase it, you are pretty much purchasing from TigerDirect (if you look at the add this to your card button). And on top of that, since it's from TigerDirecet, you don't get the free shipping. Amazon has lots of 3rd party stores selling stuff on their sites. So once Amazon runs out of their own supplies, they go to their 3rd party.

Are you sure? In the place where it would usually put another store, it just says "amazon.com"

Update thread title. Deal's dead.

Price: $399.99
Mail-In Rebates: $50.00
Price After Rebates: $339.99

just out of curiosity, would this be a significant upgrade over my overclocked BFG 6800GT AGP card?
I don't think so...other than the AIW part, I think these cards are comparable...but I'm no video card!

An overclocked Gt compared to an Xt practically the same, you wouldn't notice an improvement unless you're just looking at benchmark scores.

well when i checked it, it had tigerdirect. I'm sure it changes on an inventory basis.
