How'd you get the $20 commission for signing yourself up? And I thought you got a $30 GC. I've been thinking about signing up for one of these, PM me if you want to refer me and get another commission.

Doesn't the Amazon.com visa now offer double points on non-Amazon purchases from now until June? Can anyone confirm this?

Only for certain purchases like groceries. I already tossed the letter so I forget what is included.

Congrats RossMAN, your self-referential skills beat my signing bonus by $10, though my $13.5K limit is higher ;)

I could use a 0% purchases credit card for 12 months to pay for summer school. Too bad I hammered my credit rating getting a new 0% BT card.

I think it's only on certain things like gas, restaurants, etc.

This is a great credit card. The previous Amazon one was a lot better, but this is nice, too. The NextCard Amazon gave more points and you redeemed them online.

Haha I think you're the only person in this thread who remembers. In the past I have been declined by Bank One THREE TIMES for this cc.

Imagine how shocked I was when I was approved for $10k.

Hmmmm, I might try this...will I be able to put $2000 on the card (assuming I have the 0% APR) for a down-payment on a car? I'll probably have the money, but I'd rather put in an account to gather some interest.

Aside from all that...I'd just love having an Amazon.com card :D

A lot of car dealers discourage people from using a cc to buy a car but it is possible. If you do that, just spend another $500 to reach 2500 Amazon points = free $25 Amazon GC.

Hmmmm, interesting...I was looking for a card that had 0% APR...and that it's from Amazon.com, it's even better! It'll be either a lease or a used car, so either way, it's just drive the monthly payment down. silly thinking, i know.
