Always safe in OR, regardless of whether they open a facility here or not.

Figure out how much gas used for a run to the border vs sales tax saved.

If favorable, either ship to someone over the border or open a mailbox to be shipped to.

Nice thing about Mass, you are less than an hour from a border.

Sucks but you will continue to use it anyway. States with amazon still do brisk business because it is that good a vendor.

As it should be. It makes no sense for Amazon to be exempt from sales tax (at least in terms of enforcement).

Understand the OP, Amazon made the same evil bargain, with our dufus governor. As a result, didn't renew my prime membership and have been buying more stuff from bhphoto and ebay.

Tax evasion runs in American blood, from common folk that ignore their state tax laws (I'm looking at you California!), and all the way to the political elite (I'm looking at you Romney!).

I guess I will have to be even more diligent about where/how I spend my money on the interwebs.:(

new Hampshire is just a few minutes up the road...

This also comes on the heels of Deval announcing he is going to make Tolling on the pike more efficient, a road that was arguably paid for in full back in the mid 80s.

I live here so I can't complain too much, but no one should move to Mass looking for it to be even remotely affordable especially when compared to NH...and while I am sure a bunch will crow on about the school system, the fact is that Mass has its good and bad schools just like the rest of them.
