I bought a Polder remote digital thermometer recently (for cooking big roasts, etc). Thanks to the AT shared Amazon Prime account it shipped to me in 2 days.
The thermometer itself is a bit fickle, in that if you accidentially flash it to high temp even for a brief second, it'll fail. Well that happened to me and the temp sensor is broken.
The product was bought past the 30 days return limit. I went to Amazon.com, clicked Contact us, put in my phone number, my phone instantly rang and I got an American on the phone with me. I said "i bought this item here. its broken. what do i need to do". The rep said "its okay we'll just order you a brand new one it'll ship out tomorrow, no need to return the broken one".
thats it. easiest 20 seconds of my life. thanks amazon
