I made my order on the 20th of september. It's now the 24th of september and the item i ordered STILL HASN'T LEFT FOR SHIPPING EVEN THOUGH IT'S IN STOCK. The camera i ordered said "usually ships within 24 hours". It didn't say "usually ships within 24 hours... unless you're an a$$hole who chose the free shipping option. If that's the case then F*CK OFF, WE DON'T WANT YOUR BUSINESS".

I mean, i can understand using the slowest possible shipping if i choose free shipping, but that doesn't excuse them NOT SENDING THE ITEM OFF TO SHIPPING WITHIN 1 OR 2 DAYS IF IT'S IN STOCK.

I'm pretty pissed off at this false advertising.

Thank you for writing to us at Amazon.com.

We are currently preparing your order for shipment, and still expect
to ship it in time for delivery by the date listed in Your Account:
September 29 - October 01, 2004.

The estimated date of shipment was calculated at the time you placed
your order and is based on the availability of the items in your
order, the proximity of inventory to the delivery address you
provided and the shipping method you chose.

For this order, I see that the shipping method selected is our free
Super Saver Shipping option. This option is for customers who are
willing to wait a little longer to receive their items in exchange
for free shipping.

As stated on our web site, when you choose Super Saver Shipping, you
can expect your order to take a few days longer to leave our
fulfillment center than if you had selected our standard shipping
option. This extra time is reflected in your estimated shipment
date.

For example, items in our inventory usually ship out within 24 hours
when standard, Two-Day, or One-Day shipping is selected; when Super
Saver Shipping is selected, these items will ship within 4 to 6
business days. (Please note that weekends are not counted as
business days).

This additional time allows us to ship your order in the most cost-
efficient way possible, and enables us to pass the savings, in the
form of free shipping, on to you.

I apologize if this time frame was not clear at the time you placed
your order. The full details of the Super Saver Shipping option are
listed here:

http://www.amazon.com/supersavershipping

You can also check the status of your order, including estimated
dates of shipment and delivery, by clicking the Your Account link
at the top of most pages of our store or by accessing this link:

http://www.amazon.com/your-account

I hope this information helps clear up any misunderstanding. Thank
you for shopping at Amazon.com.

Please let us know if this e-mail resolved your question:

They're pretty clear about it when you order. If you had a problem with it, you could've paid for shipping.

they give you an estimated delivery date when you order if it is not going to meet than you have a right to complain

Maybe i missed the 'estimated delivery date', but i saw the 'usually ships within 24 hours' note before i hit 'add to cart'. They need to add a caveat BEFORE i put the item in my cart.

there's no time guarantee with super saver... if you need something quickly you should choose the 1-day or 2-day options.

Amazon's super saver has NEVER taken more than 3 days to reach me from the date I ordered the items.

Ok to those who are bashing me: Why the HELL wouldn't they ship it out to me as soon as i put my order in if the god damn item is IN STOCK!??!?!?! That makes absolutely no #*$&ing sense. That's horrible customer service.

Do you understand what the letter is saying? It's saying, in exchange for free shipping, we're going to ship it off when it will be the most economically viable for Amazon. Jesus christ.

Do you understand that "usually ships within 24 hours" means that sometimes it DOESN'T ship that quickly?

Yeah well it's 4 days. They're probably not going to ship it until next week. "Usually ships within 24 hours" implies that it'll ship in 24 hours... or sometime near then. FOUR #(*$&ING DAYS IS EXCESSIVE. And now, with the weekend coming up, it's going to be even more than that. Hell, i don't even expect them to ship it out monday.

Nope. I can't. It's too late. Even though it hasn't even left the #(*&$ing warehouse.

If you are paying for shipping, wouldn't you expect your shipments to take priority over those that are being shipped to cheap customers for free?

don't like to wait, then buy expedited shipping.... If you knew you wanted it quicker, shoulda paid for quicker shipping.... This can't be the first time you've ever ordered from Amazon, is it?

for me, like someone else said, Amazon's super saver has never taken more than 3 days to reach me from the date I ordered the items.

If that was the case, maybe i'd understand, but that was the 2nd email they sent to me and they didn't explain it to me (and i ASKED for an explanation). I highly doubt it though, i ordered the canon s410 and i really don't think they're in danger of selling out of that particular camera.

Like i said, if they used the slowest possible shipping method, that's FINE. The item NOT LEAVING THE WAREHOUSE EVEN AFTER FOUR DAYS IS NOT.
