for me, like someone else said, Amazon's super saver has never taken more than 3 days to reach me from the date I ordered the items.

Like i said, if they used the slowest possible shipping method, that's FINE. The item NOT LEAVING THE WAREHOUSE EVEN AFTER FOUR DAYS IS NOT.

**As stated on our web site, when you choose Super Saver Shipping, you
can expect your order to take a few days longer to leave our
fulfillment center than if you had selected our standard shipping
option. This extra time is reflected in your estimated shipment
date. ***

Seems to indicate right here that it will take a few days longer to leave the warehouse. Maybe you should read the Ts and Cs.

I agree. I'm STILL waiting for a package that I ordered over a week ago. It has finally shipped, UPS ground, so I get to wait 6 days for it to get here just in shipping. But they did plainly state 3-5 days order processing time on top of shipping. I'll survive though.

Just goes to show you, when you have companies like Newegg rocking stuff out the door same day or 1 day order processing, and FedEx regularly gets the package to the customer a day ahead of schedule - all this for free or 99 cent shipping...

Wow, maybe you should order some blood pressure medication from them while you're at it.

Maybe i missed the 'estimated delivery date', but i saw the 'usually ships within 24 hours' note before i hit 'add to cart'. They need to add a caveat BEFORE i put the item in my cart.

why do you care about when it ships? the delivery date is more important anyway and they havent lied about that.

your rant sucks.

i dont seem to understand what the difference is if it arrives to you at the same time. they could choose to send it overnight fedex on the last possible day and it would still get to you in time.

when your first posted a thread about this i started a conversation with a director in the supply chain plannig group to help address this issue but now that your being a dick about it i wont bother following up.

i think you are the nightmare of any person working in retail/shipping etc.

You are cheap because you chose the cheapest possible shipping method and you are NAIVE because you read "usually ships withing 24hrs", and then you complain because you dont get first class service.
And you're a whiner because you post about it on teh intarnet :)

look, you a cheap, therefore you get lowest priority amongst all their customers. is that so hard to understand? your item might be instock, but they feel like shipping out the non-cheap orders first.

its hard for some people to understand that our fufillment centers only have soo much capacity and that not all orders are processed in the same day.

I actually love Amazon. They do say when your order is going to arrive, and that date is quite accurate. If you still order after seeing that, then you shouldn't complain. It IS free shipping after all.

If you're in a hurry, pay for the shipping.

Exactly. Almost every time I order something from Amazon w/ free shipping, it arrives on the day that they estimated. The only time that hasn't happened was when it showed up the day before.

What a drama queen; I bet you're going to crosspost this to D&D and find some way to blame Bush for this.

Edit: Man I love seeing this douchebag get his comeuppance.

Well, I can't speak to your order, but I just placed an order for the first time @ Amazon and I was very pleased. First off, when I was ordering, it told me before I checked out the estimated ship date. I ordered a Uniden 5.8Ghz cordless phone late on a Friday. It was about $30 less than anywhere else, I chose the free shipping, it shipped out UPS ground on the following Monday, and because it went out of PA and I'm in NH, it was here on Wednesday...two days from when it shipped.

Did you ever think your order might have been delayed longer for a reason you aren't aware of? Have you called them and asked why it was delayed? Do you think just because your one order isn't coming as fast as you like, that all orders from Amazon will be the same?

Having re-read parts of the thread, the part I like best is the topic summary. When I saw it, I thought there was some sort of hidden fee or something.

Watch out, folks, Amazon will screw you over by giving you the product you ordered on the day they said they would! Eek! Call John Stossel!

In exchange for free shipping, you move down in their shipping priority: ie they ship people who 'paid' for shipping first, then package and ship your package when its convenient. The information is there on their website, asking them to hold your hand any more than they already do is pretty sad. Dennis Leary said it best - "Life too tough for you? Buy a Frickin Helmet!!"

While Amazon has generally sent everything for which I used supersaver shipping within 3-5 days, I can see how they might delay sending the product out. Maybe they were swamped in the shipping department, and so all non-supersaver items got first priority. Or maybe they thought they had the item in stock, but after they sent out all of the non-supersaver shipped product, they ran out and are having to wait for more to arrive.

Countless things could've happened.
