Login to your amazon account and then go to A9.com and do a search on anything. Once you return to amazon it will put 1.57% discount on your final total purchase price.
I made a purchase of the Star Wars Trilogy DVD and got $0.66 discount (not much but hey it works, total $41.33).

Here's info lifted from Amazon's page regarding the discount:
---
Amazon.com is automatically an additional pi/2% (1.57%) off for you. Collecting this discount is zero effort on your part. It will be applied automatically at checkout (it will happen whether you use the shopping cart or our 1-Click Shopping®). You don't need to do anything to get this discount except keep using A9.com as your regular search engine.

We don't advertise this additional discount that we give in exchange for using A9.com, so if you want your friends to know about it, please tell them. It is probably the only way they'll find out. All they have to do is use A9.com as their regular search engine. They should make sure they are signed in to A9.com (it should be recognizing them by name) so that we can be certain they get credit for their visit.

Remember hearing something about it but never really looked into it and basically forgot about it. 1.57% may not seem like much but its better than nothing, may as well take advantage of it. Thanks for sharing OP!

Everybody has to start at 1 post in the beginning, so why you being so harsh on somebody who actually posted something useful, at least to anyone who shops at amazon alot. If you have something actually to contribute to whether theres a catch or some other negative aspect that we don't know about it then please do otherwise theres no need to threadcrap this guys first post.

Savarak's lucky no one said the same thing about him when he posted his first deal the day after he joined with no other posts under his belt. :)

Thanks dragont for the heads-up on this. Every little bit off helps.

So it's okay to repeatedly post "Don't forget about FatCash" or "Don't forget about eBates" for 2% (wow)--but not to post "Don't forget about A9" for 1.57%? What's the difference? (I know, I know...about .43%.) :)

Since the A9 discount is new, we can forgive a standalone post about it...once.

So according to you, what should a first post be? And when is someone OK to post a hot deal? I want to know because I dont want to be posting any spam here.

I agree. Apparently, Savarak feels he makes the posting rules. In the future prior to posting, please run your potential post by Savarak to see if it meets his standards and is ok to post

Nice Post! dont mind the jerks. 1.57% off isnt great, but it is better than full price! Especially since a lot of us shop at amazon already anyway.

aren't you harsh... your post isn't up to my standard, it is not ok to post. :p

I'll forgive the OP's spam-likeness this time, but I will still have a sneaking suspicion that he's professionally connected to amazon in one way or another for the time being

And what if he was? That wouldn't necessarily mean that he would be a spammer unless he was it doing it for his own personal benefit (referral).

If you worked for a company, and that company was having some kind of sale, I wouldn't flame you for being a first time poster and telling us about it if you were truly were just trying inform others of a good deal.
